Gevederde Dromen

​Fabric pieces reimagined and transformed into timeless, reusable, and detachable clothing accessories.

Feathered Dreams, or ‘Gevederde Dromen’ in Dutch, or ‘Sueños emplumados’ in Spanish incorporates restyled Tzotzil Mexican textiles. A project blending tradition and modernity by repurposing the culture and artistry of the Tzotzil Mexican people. The unique fabric used for the removable cuffs is crafted with genuine ostrich feathers in Pascale Theron Studio.

Viviana’s father passed away on October 13, when she was a teenager.  Both of her parents’ passing has been a cyclical journey of grief, as Viviana repeatedly returns to the beginning. This healing is unending, and Feathered Dreams is dedicated to the cycle of life and death.

A VINTAGE STORY

Restyling Stories with designer and artist Pascale Theron.
Part I of II.

In A Vintage Story we are paying homage to our creative director’s maternal heritage on garment design, craft and sewing.

Viviana’s maternal grandmother designed and sewed dresses, embroidered, and crocheted too. She passed this tradition to her daughter, Viviana’s mother.

For this tribute, Viviana came up with the idea to restyle a clutch she got as a gift originally crafted over 20 years ago, by Carmen Calderon de la Barca Villagomez, her mother. Inspired by Pascale’s weaving and feathered art, Viviana then began reimagining the clutch as a bag with a new set of handwoven straps with feather motifs. That’s where the artisanship of Pascale joins in, weaving her signature magic to bring new life and function to the handbag.

We are thankful to Pascale Theron for making together another dream come true.

​Part two of this adventure is coming up in the autumnal-winter season in 2025.
